The UAE offers several types of visas for visitors and residents, each with specific requirements, duration of stay, and purpose. Some of these are briefly described below:
GOLDEN VISA

VISIT / TOURIST VISA
A Visit or Tourist Visa allows visitors to enter the UAE for tourism purposes, including visiting family or friends, sightseeing, or attending events and exhibitions. These visas can be obtained directly by the visitor, through a sponsor, or via a travel agency.
The UAE offers several types of Visit/Tourist Visas:
- 30-day Tourist Visa: Allows visitors to stay in the UAE for up to 30 days, extendable for an additional 30 days.
- 60-day Tourist Visa: Allows visitors to stay for up to 60 days, extendable for an additional 30 days.
- 90-day Tourist Visa: Allows individuals to sponsor family or relatives to visit and stay in the UAE for up to 90 days, extendable for an additional 30 days.
Multiple-entry Tourist Visa: Allows visitors to enter and exit the UAE multiple times within a set period, ranging from six months to five years.
RESIDENCE VISA
A Residence Visa allows foreigners to live, work, or study in the UAE. It is generally obtained through sponsorship by a UAE employer or a family member who is a UAE resident. The UAE offers several types of residence visas:
- Employment Visa: Issued to foreign nationals employed by a UAE-based company. The employer sponsors the visa and handles required paperwork.
- Investor Visa: Issued to foreign investors starting a business in the UAE, subject to specific capital and investment requirements.
- Real Estate Investor Visa: Issued to individuals who buy/invest in real estate in the UAE, subject to specific financial criteria.
- Family Visa: Issued to family members of UAE residents or nationals. The sponsor must meet financial requirements.
- Retirement Visa: Issued to retirees meeting certain age and financial conditions.
Student Visa: Issued to international students admitted to a recognized educational institution in the UAE.
